Opening: Thursday, 6.7.2023, 6 pm
Sometimes an axe is wonky and skewed; sometimes, life is. Based on an open call, this exhibition presents works by SueJin Hong, Ramon Iten, Lily Pellaud, Mara Röllin, Nils Schulz, Sofia Smolenskaya and Levin Stettler Brogli. Their works challenge notions of perfection and conformity. They hint at imbalances in the financial market and in our belief systems, examine tools and their (dis)functions, the brittleness of the screen, deconstruct heroine figures, or the retreat to one’s own on- and offline cosmos.
Two artist talks will be held during the exhibition:
July 7, 6 pm
Artist talk with Ramon Iten, Nils Schulz and Levin Stettler Brogli moderated by Johanna Vieli.
July 12, 6 pm
Artist talk with Sofia Smolenskaya and Lily Pellaud moderated by Gabrielle Schaad.
